Cambridge Cream Porcelain Paving Slabs 900x600x20 MM

Cambridge Cream Porcelain Paving Slabs bring a warm, refined lightness to outdoor spaces (SKU: PS-CAMBRIDGE-90-60). Supplied by Paving and Slabs Ltd, the smooth cream stone-effect finish sits elegantly between natural limestone and polished concrete, offering the inviting warmth of pale natural stone without the high porosity or demanding maintenance of traditional materials. Ideal for patios, dining terraces, and pathways, Cambridge Cream is a bright, contemporary choice.

Manufactured from high-quality vitrified porcelain in a generous 900x600mm format, these single-size paving flags create a seamless, flowing appearance across wide areas. This large-format design reduces joint lines, contributing to the clean, uncluttered aesthetic that makes cream porcelain highly sought after for UK garden layouts.
Colour: Warm beige and sandy stone tones.
Use: Ideal for patios, garden terraces, pathways, outdoor seating areas and contemporary landscaping projects.

Please note: Outdoor porcelain slabs are manufactured in designated batch runs. If you are extending an existing patio or require matching batch codes from a previous delivery, please contact our support team prior to placing your order so we can confirm exact color tone and size batch consistency.

  • Seamless Large Format: 900x600mm profiles minimize visible grout lines.

Why Cambridge Cream Works in UK Gardens

While pale surfaces can be difficult to maintain in wet climates, Cambridge Cream porcelain answers this challenge through its advanced material composition. With near-zero water absorption, these tiles prevent moisture from penetrating the core. Unlike natural limestone or cream sandstone, which darken and stain without regular chemical sealing, this vitrified surface keeps water on top to drain away safely, ensuring permanent frost resistance.

This non-porous engineering prevents algae, moss, and leaf tannins from embedding in the surface texture. Combined with a certified R11 slip resistance rating, the specialized micro-texture channels water away from underfoot contact points, ensuring a safe, low-maintenance outdoor surface through all seasons. For homeowners planning broader garden renovations, understanding the true cost of paving a patio in the UK can help establish realistic project budgets.

Whether you are sourcing patio slabs in Belfast for a seaside garden or ordering paving slabs in Nottingham for an urban terrace, Cambridge Cream delivers consistent aesthetic appeal across varying regional UK architectures.

Specifications and Installation Guidance

Like all premium porcelain paving, Cambridge Cream must be installed on a full continuous mortar bed over a properly compacted sub-base. Do not "spot-bed" or ring-bed these flags; hollow voids beneath the tiles leave them vulnerable to rocking and cracking under foot traffic. Prepare a compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base to a minimum depth of 100 to 150mm for standard residential use, increasing to 150 to 200mm on heavy clay soils. Incorporate a drainage fall of 1 in 80 away from any property building. Learn how to measure slope accurately with our technical article on setting patio fall gradients for proper drainage.

Because porcelain is non-porous, it will not absorb moisture from standard mortar. A specialized porcelain bonding slurry primer must be painted onto the back of each slab immediately before laying to ensure a permanent bond with the bedding layer.
