EC Grey (Earthcore Grey) Porcelain Paving Slabs 900x600x20mm

Add timeless architectural style to your outdoor space with premium EC Grey (Earthcore Grey) Porcelain Paving Slabs 900x600x20mm (SKU: PS-ECG-90-60). Distributed by Paving and Slabs Ltd, this sophisticated selection features a beautifully balanced cement-grey porcelain look that delivers a clean, contemporary appearance while maintaining structural excellence. The generous 900x600mm large-format configuration minimizes visible joint lines to create an expansive, seamless ground plane that complements modern new-builds, traditional brick homes, and commercial landscaping projects alike.

Manufactured using advanced vitrified porcelain technology, these heavy-duty 20mm calibrated paving flags offer outstanding material density. The non-porous core matrix completely repels moisture entry, protecting your external patio floor from winter frost splitting, green algae build-up, and deep organic stains through the UK's demanding seasonal weather cycles without requiring periodic chemical sealers.

Modern Grey Porcelain for Contemporary Outdoor Design

Grey paving stands as an enduring staple of modern British garden design because it acts as a highly versatile, neutral foundation. EC Grey integrates effortlessly with diverse architectural materials, including timber fencing, red or buff brickwork, rendered walls, and glass balustrades. When paired with modern outdoor furniture, minimalist planters, and crisp architectural planting, these slabs anchor a clean, interior-to-outdoor flow that makes courtyard gardens and patio entertainment areas appear significantly more open and uncluttered.

For project orders requiring uniform batching across several pallets, please note that minor shade variations can occur between manufacturing runs. If you require the same batch code as your previous purchase, please contact us before placing your order and we will do our best to assist.

Professional Installation Parameters

To secure a level, lifelong layout, EC Grey flags must be laid over a compacted MOT Type 1 aggregate base upon a full continuous wet mortar bed. Never utilize spot-bedding or 'dot-and-dab' techniques under any circumstances; omitting full cement coverage beneath the slabs creates empty structural pockets that trap moisture and crack easily under pedestrian traffic. Because vitrified stoneware cannot absorb liquids from the bedding mix, a high-strength porcelain bonding slurry primer must be painted onto the back of every flag immediately before laying to ensure strong adhesion. Learn more in our guide on why slurry primer SBR matters when laying outdoor porcelain slabs.

Maintain precise 3 to 5mm joint gaps and set up a consistent drainage fall of 1 in 80 away from building structural walls. Upkeep remains straightforward—because organic debris sits loosely on top of the non-porous face without embedding into the tile core, routine sweeping and an annual pressure wash easily keep the cement-grey look looking immaculate.
